The Minister of Social Affairs and Integration of the State of Baden-Württemberg, Manne Lucha MdL, cordially invites you to the following online event:
"COVID-19: Lessons learned in cross-border management
of the pandemic and potentials of European cooperation"
on Monday, 30 November 2020, from 02:00 p.m.
As a region located within the heart of Europe, Baden-Württemberg is aware of its responsibility. To fight Covid-19 efficiently, there is a necessity for a coordinated cross-border approach. Therefore, the Covid-19 tracing system, developed by an expert network of the “Task Force Health“ of the Upper Rhine Conference, is of significant importance. Furthermore, a mutual assistance pact between Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate and Saarland with the French neighbouring region Grand Est is close to being finalised. The mutual assistance pact is designed to provide reciprocal help during the pandemic but also in the context of other future crisis situations.
The event offers the opportunity to share Baden-Württemberg's experience in the cross-border management of the pandemic. At the same time, the event will allow to put those experiences into perspective with the European debates on the coordination and harmonisation of Covid-19 measures between the EU Member States and on the future of EU health agencies.
