The Twin City of Frankfurt (Oder) - Słubice is organising two workshops at the Representation of Brandenburg to the European Union in Brussels. The topics that shall be discussed are not only important for the future of the twin cities and border regions, but also for the future of the European integration process. Milena Manns, Department Head for Culture, Education, Sport, Citizen Participation and Europe of the City of Frankfurt (Oder) and Adriana Dydyna-Marycka, Deputy Mayor of Słubice will discuss how the border cities can benefit and learn from one another in the areas of neighbouring languages and education. City Mayors, René Wilke and Mariusz Olejniczak, will present how European integration can work in practice on the example of twin cities. The discussion with the participants from other regions about milestones until the year 2030 and the role the twin cities can play for the future of Europe will follow.

We kindly invite you to participate in our event. Please register until September 30, 2019 under: soeren.bollmann@frankfurt-slubice.eu

The workshops are part of the project "European model city of cross-border cooperation" and co-financed by EU funds within the framework of the Interreg VA Programme.
