A series of youth-led workshops to explore how British millennials engage with the media to form their own views following on from the success of two precious media literacy projects run in October 2017 and April 2018.

Students will have the opportunity to participate in workshops run by media practitioners in Manchester, Cardiff and Glasgow. They will be joined by students from other schools to help discuss the challenges surrounding the modern media landscape with the aim of equipping them with the skills necessary to critically engage with both the media and the issues they care about.

The concepts to be discussed will first be introduced by the media practitioners before students break up into focus groups to discuss these topics in depth. The groups will then reconvene to share what they have discussed via presentations at the end of the workshops.
