This report is the final analysis of the exploitation potential of SIMPATICO outcomes; it describes the innovation strategy as well as the exploitable results produced in the project; it also contains a context (PESTLE) and market analysis to guide future exploitations. In this version, a reduced set of information is provided due to its public release.
Deliverable D7.5 presents a well written, elaborative work on market analysis and exploitation planning. Different analytical tools have been well utilised (Business Model Canvas, PESTEL, etc.).
However, throughout the document emphasis is placed upon a “component-level” exploitation rather than the system as a whole (both exploitation paths are important). For example, although the Business Model Canvas is well addressed, the value proposition of the project needs to be at a higher level, beyond its distinct exploitable results. The value of SIMPATICO as a whole, is a critical part of this analysis, as it is the core value that will be delivered to the users/customers of the project solution in addition to the value of its components (social, scientific, economic). Similarly, the exploitation opportunities part (Section 7) provides a well-structured overview for each exploitable result. It would be beneficial to consider similar opportunities for the whole system.
Good CANVAS, good identification of exploitation resuls. However, it would be nice to quantify impacts in the PESTEL analysis in the European and in the use case level.
The deliverable present very innovative elements. Very interesting is the relation between project objectives and innovation strategy and the application of the mission-oriented innovation model and the use of the related visual tool.
Moreover, it use different structured tools and metholodogies (PESTLE Analysis, market analysis, Mission-Oriented innovation model, etc.) but in some case they seem to be not totally integrated one to each other. For example the elements at the basis of the PESLTE analysis could be useful also in the exploitable results analysis, which is not totally focused on the economic, social and environmental aspects. Then, the market analysis is too focused on the technological elements.
Generally, the contents provided in the paragraph 7 should have been at the base of a more complex strategy which include also the other tools and methodologies present in the other paragraphs.
