If you are located in South-Eastern Europe, please save the date for the Workshop "Boosting Growth and Cohesion in EU Border Regions" taking place on 25 October 2018 in Drama, Greece.

The event is organised by the European Commission, Directorate-General for Regional and Urban Policy, in cooperation with Drama Chamber of Commerce and Industry and is the fourth in a series of regional workshops organised to discuss the socio-economic situation of border regions.

The aim of the event is dual. On the one side continue engaging with border stakeholders on the Action Plan adopted by the Commission in its Communication on boosting EU border regions, ensuring that all areas of Europe are involved.  This includes showcasing existing practices and continuing a dialogue on the upcoming actions to be taken. On the other side the aim is to inform on major steps being taken in Europe towards enhanced Cross-Border Cooperation, like the proposed New Mechanism for solving legal obstacles in a cross-border context.

Attendance to the event is upon invitation.  Registration for the event will open in September. Should you wish to be invited, do not hesitate to leave a message on this platform with a request.
