On Wednesday, 28 June, we had a really interesting session at the Net Futures Conference 2017 presenting our Next Generation Internet initiaitve and talking about the internet of the future.
In our panel discussion - full of women in tech - we discussed especially questions like:
- What - from your point of view - will drive the next decade?
- What will the future internet look like?
- Are we addressing the right issues, such as privacy, skills, human values, and how can we address them adequately?

- Tools such as codes of conduct, standards, and certification have a role to play for the protection of the connected individual.
- To reap the benefits of the digital revolution, the EU must ensure that its public policies will not undermine innovation by creating data silos.
- National security cannot overrule real cybersecurity in the Internet of the future.
- A better Internet means an Internet where computer scientists, sociologists, and lawyers work together to ensure privacy and security of the users.
- Access to more funding would help young entrepreneurs to build businesses driven by ethics and less by profit.
