The workshop will present strategies and good practices developed by two EGTCs in a first of its kind joint Interreg project: Fit for Cooperation. This project consists of an innovative package for supporting cross-border projects and is an example of how cross-border obstacles can be overcome through a multi-tiered approach.

The EGTC European Region Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino and the EGTC Euregio Senza Confini can act as cross-border organisations with legislative powers of six regions located on the Italian–Austrian border to solve administrative or legal obstacles involving, if necessary, the two Member States.

The collaboration between the two EGTCs seeks to address border obstacles in a wider governance context and tap the common potential to facilitate effective cooperation with a view to greatly improving the quality of life in cross-border regions.
