The present booklet shines a spotlight on a collection of EUREGHA Members' good practices in cross-border cooperation in health and showcases the important and innovative work implemented at the subnational level in Europe.

There are numerous challenges linked to cross-border healthcare which range from patients getting healthcare across the EU, health professionals working in different EU countries, as well as practical and legal issues linked to the implementation of the Directive (2011/24/EU) and the Social Security Regulations.
Innovative regional and local cross-border collaborative projects and initiatives are implemented throughout Europe. EUREGHA works towards increasing awareness of those and foster exchange of success stories and solutions to joint challenges.

The present document demonstrates the range of novel and relevant developments taking place at subnational level in the field and proves the importance of bringing regional and local authorities together for better health.
