In the age of information overload and at the time when disinformation and fake news destroy the trust in media as well as in public institutions, the ability to find credible information online is of critical importance for young people.

They are digital natives. They have been online their whole lives and they have a unique perspective on many issues, but they still need guidance to ask the right questions and find the answers. The broad introduction to media literacy provides a set of easy-to-use tools they can use to discern credible news from disinformation.

The interactive workshop is the second one in the series of workshops on How to Recognize and Stop Fake News created by Newseum. In Slovenia it is carried out in partnership with Zavod Časoris.
