This article analyses the phenomenon of cross-border employment and labour by the way of a multidisciplinary approach combining economy, sociology, and geography. The authors' analysis concerns the way in which the cross-border workers ways of life have an impact on their home territory. They answer this question examining the situation in the cities of Thionville (border between France and Luxembourg) and Forbach (border between France and Germany).
