I am an research ethics specialist often involved in clinical trials. An issue we often meet  in trials is judging when we have enough  evidence; this is particularly an increasing problem with adaptive trial designs, esp. regarding stopping rules. 

I see this as being an area where ethicists need to work closely with stats people?
