Clearly the greatest volume of people think that a future internet should ensure citizens' soverignty over their own data and privacy. 

But is the solution really to focus so heavily on distributed architectures and decentralised governance?

It's all about distributed architectures and decentralised governance! Do we need only focus on this area? With the full might of academia, business and organisations, surely we can crack the problems associated.

All agreed?

But does this mean we fall behind on devices and interfaces? And can a focus on this area alone really be commercially sustainable?
