Experience:

I am Serial Internet Entrepreneur. I started many Internet projects, some of them sold to large EU-based media house. I consider myself very experienced/knowledgeable in that industry.

Ideas:

I support Digital Single Market initiative because it will foster EU growth toward Digital Society > Intelligent Society. So far EU lags behind US and Asia because there are many specific territories in the EU, different legislative and business practices which raise artifical obstacles toward building of Digital Market.

EU should act as USA in regard of Digital Market, i.e. single large market with same rules everywhere. Until that happens, EU will be dominated by US and Asian Internet corporations which have their own agenda and build their own economy. Instead of that, EU should foster EU based counterparts of Amazon, Alibaba, eBay etc. which would benefit EU economy as an whole.

For example, we are building pan-european eCommerce marketplace, powered by Artifical Intelligence algorithms, but we found many obstacles toward spreading across EU. For example many local VC funds invest only in projects that are native in particular county. This is not good for EU as an whole because it slows down it's overall digital development. US and Asian counterparts grow fast because they are fully supported by trans-national VC. If we continue to stop eachother growth, we will all lag behind critically.

Another issue is pan-euroopean logistic. Goods should be able to travel effortlessly from country to country, which is not the case now.
