Floating offshore wind can be a game changer not only allowing to take wind farms into deeper waters with further resource but also being able to reduce cost of energy.

Funding for reduce scale is achievable but once this step is done, it does not prove suitability of solutions. The big barrier for floating solutions  keeps being the difficulty to close the funding for a full scale prototype that will totally prove technology and economic suitability. 

Therefore, I find a specific topic in 2020 is required to move floating forward.
