This topic emerged within a foresight workshop organised by the OBSERVE project on January 31st 2017 in Brussels. It is meant as an input into the discussion around future themes for FET Proactive.

• Generation of an artificial consciousness

• Enabling direct communication of thoughts, knowledge and emotions between human brains

Discussion points

• Do we need a social brain/a social neuroscience?

• Is the main bottleneck safe human-brain interfaces?

• Should we include hearts instead of only brains?
