We are opening this forum to share and discuss promising ideas to use AI and Robotics to adress the Corona crisis.

The first collection of entries will be published soon.

We will share info about other similar initiatives in the EU and around the world in upcoming posts.

In addition to responding to the survey you may use this thread to raise questions and bounce ideas.

Hi Eric, great initiative!

Apart from medical support applications, we see a great need in robotics at these difficult times in the logistics sector, as you people also mention. We see the need for goods deliveries surging in all areas hit, with traditonal courier companies suffering from overload. Last mile delivery automation is something to look at. We may have a candidate for this kind of job (www.htr.gr / Hybrid leg-wheel quad)

Are you in the AI Robotics unit?

Thanks Eric for bringing this opportunity for an open discussion.

Our team already submitted some of our ideas with short term applicability. Mostly around security and the lack of it in the current european landscape of robotics. We've summarized some of our thoughts on this regard at https://news.aliasrobotics.com/alias-robotics-ready-to-help-in-the-covid-19-crisis-with-its-product-ris/.

We're concerned by the current misuse of the technology in certain sensitive environments and lack of responsibility from several vendors. We'd appreciate some (re)action from EU on this regard.

Because of the rapid spread of this Corona Virus, I suppose the best solution to beat the disease is human solutions.

MY SUGGESTIONS:

Recruitment of willing youths; between the age of 25-40yes. Have them tested for the virus and other serious illness like "diabetes, HighB.P, etc which can reduce their chances of survival should they contract the virus during their volunteering.

LASTLY: I willing offer my self and time as a volunteer if you need my humanitarian assistance. Also it would be a great opportunity to visit the EU before returning to continue my Pastoral work here in Nigeria.
