Euro area annual inflation was 2.5% in June 2024, down from 2.6% in May 2024. Across the EU, the environmental tax revenue-to-GDP ratios ranged in 2022 from 0.9% (Ireland) to 5.6% (Greece). The environmental taxes to TSC ratios also varied across the EU Member States, with Bulgaria (15.3%) and Greece (13%) reporting the largest shares of environmental taxes in TSC, and Sweden (2.9%) and Luxembourg (3.1%) the lowest.
