Glossary:Bank account overdraft

Print this page

A household with a bank account overdraft is a household which at the time of the survey maintains a negative balance on at least one of its bank accounts because of financial difficulties (urgent need of money, output higher than input…). Interest is charged on the amount owned. The bank accounts must not necessarily be current accounts.
