Meeting on Deinstitutionalisation - 12-13 January 2017

Forums:

On 12-13 January the Thematic Network on Inclusion is holding its fourth meeting on the topic of Deinstitutionalisation.

This is one of the themes that was identified in the baseline study as a key area of interest for transnational exchange within the context of increasing access and modernising social and health quality services towards greater independent living conditions.

The meeting/training taking place at the European Commission on 12th January is co-organised by the European Expert Group (EEG) on Transition from Institutional to Community-based care and the ESF Thematic Network on Inclusion, and supported by the European Commission. Representatives from the TN Inclusion network, experts from the Member States, and officials from the European Commission will be attending.

A second meeting on the topic is planned to take place in October, around the Estonian Presidency Conference on Deinstitutionalisation taking place then.

Enclosed a guideline and toolkit produced by the EEG on the topic
