The Erasmus+ project VISENET - Village Social Enterprise learning material, guidance and networking stimulated rural communities in Estonia, Finland, Scotland and Romania to participate in local workshops to foster the development of social enterprises in their communities.
In the second part of 2019, 64 people from rural communities in the four participating countries took part in local workshops focused on methods of community activation and participation in rural areas to stimulate the development of social enterprises in their communities.
The main priorities identified by local rural communities relate to mapping local opportunities which have potential to be turned into business opportunities with a high social impact and to identifying human, infrastructure and natural assets.
