The second meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group (TG) on 'Mainstreaming the Bioeconomy' (17 January 2019 - Brussels, Belgium) discussed different territorial and local approaches to developing bioeconomy in rural areas.
Different rural development stakeholders underlined the need to reflect local-level needs and priorities in bioeconomy strategies, the potential of bottom-up approaches, as well as the need to increase awareness and understanding of the opportunities bioeconomy provides at all levels.
