The LIFE Carbon Farming Scheme project, an EU LIFE Preparatory Project, aims to develop and test concepts for carbon farming incentives for farmers and foresters, based on the state-of-the-art, focusing on carbon sequestration in agricultural soils and in forests, and looking at both governmental and market based incentives. As part of the carbon credit market analysis, the project has launched a stakeholder survey addressing primary production and therefore farmers and foresters. The survey aims to investigate ways in which actors in the food value chain are actively developing and exploring both practical as well as management and governance measures to improve sustainability and resilience of agriculture and the economic situation of primary producers. It is available in eight languages and it is open until 31 May 2021.
