Organic food systems are often associated with sustainable food systems and a multi-actor group of Spanish organisations has shown how CAP support can be used to help upscale outputs of organic food in Salamanca, Toledo and Guadalajara.
ECOPIONET is an EIP-AGRI Operational Group project that was nominated for the 2021 Rural Inspiration Awards thanks to its success in networking farmers, producer organisation’s advisors, scientists, and industry representatives engaged in organic farming. Results of this cooperation between different food chain actors have improved their collective knowledge of agroecosystems, new technologies, farm management, and commercialisation of organic products.
