The European Commission launched an online public consultation on the development of legally binding EU nature restoration targets.
Restoring Europe's damaged ecosystems aims to help to increase biodiversity, mitigate and adapt to climate change, and prevent and reduce the impacts of natural disasters. The initiative for the development of EU nature restoration targets will also help to improve knowledge and monitoring of ecosystems and their services. The consultation feedback period is open between 11 January and 05 April 2021.
