The Cork 2.0 stakeholder conference of 5-6 September 2016 resulted in a new declaration ‘A Better Life in Rural Areas’ paving the way for “an innovative, integrated and inclusive rural and agricultural policy in the European Union”.
The declaration sets out ten orientations to guide future policy responses taking into account the potential of rural areas to deliver sustainable solutions, as well as current challenges.
