The 2nd meeting of the ENRD Thematic Group (TG) on ‘Bioeconomy and Climate Action in Rural Areas’ (Brussels, 11 December 2019) discussed approaches that encourage bioeconomy actors to apply climate change mitigating practises.
The examples presented by participants included farm assessment tools to plan farm-level emission reductions, or community level action plans to achieve climate targets within a territory. This one-day meeting also looked into how wider policy support can upscale such approaches.
The meeting was addressed to National Rural Networks, RDP Managing Authorities and stakeholders involved in bioeconomy value chains or local bioeconomy initiatives.
