LEADER is now a well-established mature methodology for bottom-up rural development which is 30 years old this year, and events continue to be held over the coming months to celebrate LEADER’s achievements.
Sweden’s National Rural Network and ELARD are organising a LEADER 30 Years Celebration & Conference from 30 November to 3 December in Sweden’s Halmstad. This
conference is being organised to blend face-to-face sessions with networking time and field visits. Discussions and exchanges are planned around subject areas such as stock-taking on the implementation of the Long-term Vision of Rural Areas and the future for LEADER.
Ireland’s National Rural Network is also preparing a birthday event for LEADER which will reflect on past and current LEADER successes, while also debating rural policy and practice via the next CAP period. See the agenda and registration details for Ireland’s 30 Years of LEADER: Learning from the Past, Looking to the Future’ online event.
