Stall description

The Marketplace stand will share evidence showing how accelerating the transition towards agroecological farming systems can contribute to reducing greenhouse gas emissions and environmental degradation, as well as transforming the governance of farming and food systems which are integral parts to rural areas. The project's content will exploit a suite of StoryMaps showcasing actions that engage a wide range of different rural actors and deliver agroecological farming practices on the ground. These StoryMaps comprise exciting and easily understood messages from farmers, rural communities and civil society, businesses and authorities referencing environmental, social, economic and governance issues across rural areas in 15 European countries. Join us to discuss what agroecology can offer rural Europe. More information on barriers to, strategies for and the governance of agro-ecological transitions can be found on the website of the UNISECO project.
