NSU operation
The Croatian National Rural Network established its objectives in line with the mandatory NRN objectives set by the EU Regulation.
Increase the involvement of stakeholders in the implementation of the programme.
Improve the quality of programme implementation.
Inform the broader public and potential beneficiaries on rural development policy and the possibilities of co-financing projects.
Encourage innovation in agricultur.e, food production, forestry and rural areas.
Who can join the network?
The Croatian National Rural Network (NRM) is open to everyone interested in rural development. All interested stakeholders can become a member.
How to join the network?
There is no selection process, but an online application form must be filled in (available on the right-hand side of the homepage: www.mrr.hr).
Who are the members?
Until 31st of December 2020, there were 435 registered members of the Croatian NRN. Members come from a wide range of organizations:
The NSU and the Managing Authority
The NSU is established within the Managing Authority, with some activities outsourced.
The NSU and the Monitoring Committee
Although the NRN is not a member of the RDP Monitoring Committee (MC), the head of the RDP Managing Authority is the president of both the RDP Monitoring Committee and the NRN Steering Committee.
The Croatian National Rural Network has a Steering Committee that acts as a governance body:
It is composed of 9 permanent members (and appointed substitutes).
The president is the Head of the Rural Development Programme (Managing Authority).
The first meeting of the NRN Steering Committee took place on 27 April 2016.
