Pagėgiai district, located in the former territory of Lithuania Minor, has a unique historical, natural and cultural heritage. LAG strategy contributes to the preservation and promotion of this heritage. Pagėgiai district local development strategy consists of these seven measures:

  • Creation of collaborative networks and promotion of volunteering;
  • Improvement of the main local services and related infrastructure for rural residents by creating a viable social economy sector;
  • Development of innovative farming and business through the efficient use of tourism and other local resources;
  • Support for the processing and marketing of agricultural products;
  • Marketing and development of regional products, using local cultural and historical heritage;
  • Improvement of the non-formal education and enhansion of children and youth’s role in reducing social exclusion;
  • Acquisition of skills of local project applicants and promoters through training.
