Agricultural and pastoral organizations / Research
An overview of agro-pastoralism was carried out via the national rural network in France and we wish to widen the work to share proposals with other member states of Europe.
The aim of the AgroPastoM project is "to collectively innovate to better support agropastoralism as a territorialized economy in the mountains".
We have three main objectives: Mobilize actors on the ground to raise their needs, Strengthen synergies between mountain agriculture and pastoralism, for a shared knowledge of pastoral issues, Improve the effectiveness of the support (in particular the RRDPs: Regional Rural Development Program) for agro-pastoralism, identify innovations in terms of public action and reproducible experiments.
We are interested in three main themes: The means of functioning of pastoralism, the public policies that support the pastoral farms and their groups, and the economy generated by the pastoral sectors.

Three main themes:
- The public policies that support the pastoral farms and their groups (CAP Mountains),
- The means of functioning of pastures: pasture’s access, water’s access, predation’s management.
- The economy generated by the pastoral sectors: Valorization of pastoral products, Tourism valorization of pastures
