LAG Aktiivinen Pohjois-Satakunta is located in Southwest Finland and covers a vast natural territory. We are actively developing an UNESCO –geopark area on mires and swamps and in this project the intention is to study tourism products for children and youngsters. In this project another Finnish LAG is already a partner; so we are searching for the partners “in two” already. The project is planned to be starting in autumn 2017 and will be implemented for three years (up to 2019/2020).

Project idea summary:

The youngsters are lacking the nature contact nowadays and the real possibilities to familiarize to nature are restricted. Within this project the idea is to organise youth camps in partner LAG areas in Europe, create tourism products for the youth taking in consideration the environmental education aspects and pedagogical approach and the use of modern technological appliances in studying and familiarizing with the nature. The networking of European Youth and different stakeholders is an important approach. Use of social media tools and making films on “European Nature”.
