Art Partner Project

THEME: (IN)VISIBLE

Facts

In Europe, one person in six has so little money that they have difficulty in meeting their basic needs. And yet poverty is becoming invisible, either because people refuse to see it, or because it goes unnoticed. Art can allow people in precarious circumstances to become visible again, without being stigmatised. Being poor is difficult. Being invisible is intolerable.

The student will help the person experiencing poverty to express themselves through photography, not only artistically but also technically. The person experiencing poverty must be able to express whatever they wish. They may, for example, prefer to show something other than their poverty.

Lines of thought

How I see myself/how others see me
How I see others
How I see what I am/what I am not
How I see what I would like to be/what I would not like to be
How I see what represents me/what doesn’t represent me
