FarmDemo Conference 2022

The FarmDemo Conference 2022 will be held on 11 May 2022 in Brussels. The conference is organised by three Horizon 2020 projects: Nefertiti, IPMWORKS and IPMDecisions.

The conference will bring high-profile experts who will debate over the added value of on-farm demonstration, the role of demo farmers' networks  to promote the general adoption of sustainable farming practices, the facilitation of knowledge exchange and peer-to-peer learning, a new approach for strategical advice and the main tools for decision support for IPM demo farms.

Main objectives:

1. Present the main findings and activities of the Farm Demo projects 
2. Bring hub coaches, demo farmers and policy makers to share experiences and best practices related to peer-to-peer learning and knowledge transfer, the added value of demonstration and finally sustainable farming practices
3. Present DEPHY as a pioneer network of demo farms for less pesticides
4. Have an open and participatory forum for discussion

Division of the event agenda:

• Conference opening, through institutional speakers such as representatives of the DG AGRI and the Committee of Regions 
• Interactive part: 3 panel discussions gathering demo-farmers, advisors and Policy makers to exchange experiences on demonstration networks and policy incentives
• parallel workshops showcasing the concrete results and outcomes of the 3 projects , where the participants will be free to circulate
• conference closing: highlighting the future perspectives of the demo-farm networks across Europe through the testimonies of several experts
