Ester Martínez-Ros

Ester Martínez-Ros is Associate Professor in Management at the Department of Business Economics at the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. She holds a PhD from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (1998) and a Master in Economics from University College London (1994). She is currently the director of the School of Continuing Education at UC3M and director of the VOGUE-UC3M Master's Degree in Fashion and Beauty Business Management.

She participates actively in national, regional and European competitive projects. She has participated as advisor in the group of experts (ESIR) for the European Union on public policy R&D Funds; she belongs to several editorial committees of journals such as Review of Applied Economics or Management Research or Management Research. Her main lines of research focus on three areas: 1) the analysis of firms’ s innovation decisions and their impact on performance; 2) the study of the determinants and characteristics of environmental innovation and 3) the effect of public policies on R&D. Some of her contributions have been published in; Journal of Cleaner Production, Technological Forecasting and Social Change, Energy Policy, Research Policy, Applied Economics, Economics of Innovation and New Technology, Small Business Economics, International Journal of Industrial Organization, European Management Review.
