Software product: Domibus
- Domibus 5.2 RC development work is ongoing
- The release date was postponed from to Q1 2025 to allow Domibus to move from supporting Java 11 to Java 21 and switch to using the Jakarta EE framework. Due to differences in Jakarta EE support between Oracle WebLogic 14.1.2 on the one hand, and WildFly 34 and Apache Tomcat 10.1 on the other, Domibus 5.2 will offer two distinct variants:
- The Domibus 5.2 WebLogic variant will rely on Jakarta EE 8.
- The Domibus 5.2 WildFly and Tomcat variant will rely on Jakarta EE 10, which is not backwards compatible with Jakarta EE 8.
Users of Domibus on WebLogic should note that not all third-party libraries will continue to support Jakarta EE 8 throughout the lifetime of Domibus 5.2.
- Domibus 5.2 FR planned for Q2 2025

- Support for WildFly in Domibus will be phased out due to limited usage by users & lack of long-term support of the application server. Domibus 5.2 will still support WildFly. Support will be discontinued in the versions after 5.2.
As Domibus 5.2 is a long-term support release, WildFly users will have more than two years to switch to a different application server. This decision was communicated via a news article in the DIGITAL portal on the
