18/07/2014 - New EU Justice Commissioner: Martine Reicherts takes up office in the European Commission
Martine Reicherts has taken office as EU Commissioner for Justice, Fundamental Rights and Citizenship in the European Commission. The European Parliament voted with a strong majority to elect Ms Reicherts on 16 July 2014, following an exchange of views with the LIBE, JURI and FEMM committees in Strasbourg on 14 July.
