Skopje and Brussels discussed progress of accession process

The European Union and the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia have jointly reviewed the progress of the accession process at the Association Council in Brussels on 24 July. The priority areas under the High Level Accession Dialogue were also discussed. "We see that a lot of work has been launched and that some results are starting to be achieved. It is now time to continue on the good path, and follow up on the commitments which have been made," Commissioner for Enlargement and European Neighbourhood Policy Štefan Füle said after the meeting. "This is the way to achieve a positive climate later this year when the Member States will take decisions about the enlargement process," he added at the press conference with the Cyprus EU Presidency and representatives of the government of the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia.
