Farm structure survey - methodological articles is an online Eurostat publication providing methodological information about the farm structure survey (FSS).
While farm structure surveys are very well regulated through legislation, they pose comparability problems on many aspects and in particular with respect to survey coverage. This publication presents findings of comparability assessments on survey coverage (especially related to survey thresholds), definition of agricultural holding, common land, reference periods, measurement errors and gives information on the increased use and quality of administrative sources in the national surveys.
