The Hearing Officers, Ms. Karen Williams and Mr. Michael Albers, are independent of the Directorate General for Competition and are personally attached to the Commissioner . Their mission is to ensure due process, to safeguard the parties’ procedural rights, and to contribute to the quality of the decision-making in EC Antitrust and Merger proceedings.
