In a European and African Commissions college to college meeting in Addis Abeba key issues such as peace and security, climate change and bilateral relations were discussed. President Barroso expressed his determination to continue and to further pioneering work with Africa, in particular on achieving the Millennium development Goals, and making a real impact on food and water security, health and education. Afterwards, Barroso also met with the Ethiopian prime minister Meles Zenawi.
