Evaluation of policy measures in agriculture

Evaluation pursues to contribute to decision making concerning the Common Agricultural Policy. Evaluation information on the effectiveness, efficiency and relevance of measures applicable to agriculture supports the management and, where necessary, the  adaptation of policy measures and enhances accountability.

The evaluation projects examine in particular the impacts of the measures of the Common Agricultural Policy on

They are carried out by independent experts, with contracts established through tendering procedures.

Each evaluation study undergoes a strict monitoring and is subject to a quality assessment according to established quality benchmarks.

Results

Results are disseminated, together with the quality statement, to decision makers inside the Commission and other European Institutions and the reports are published on this web site.
