| Samples of raw coffee beans are taken at a Warehouse

- Spear Sampler (S01-01)
- Trowel - for mixing the incremental samples (S03-01)
- Bucket or large clean container for mixing the incremental samples.
- Paper Bags (R00)
- Plastic Bags (P00)

| Safety precautions and risk assessment
|
- Samples may be contaminated with mycotoxins – care must be taken not to inhale dust or particles.
- Wash hands and all equipment after use to avoid cross contamination.
- The Personal Protective Equipment to be used must comply with National Legislation and specific requirements should be found in the local Risk Assessment or Safe Working Practice Guide.
- Pay attention to the security signs that may be present.
- Keep the sample at room temperature during transport.
- Protective latex gloves;
- protective goggles or, if there is a risk of excessive dust, protective shields for eyes and face; mask; safety shoes;
- disposable coat and headgear;
- the use of a head and ear protection must be evaluated depending on the scenario.

| Sampling plan
| The aggregate sample must be representative of the entire batch of goods and it is obtained through the drilling of 10 bags selected randomly. See scale of exam in General Part.
The minimum quantity for the final sample is 500 g
