EISMEA, in collaboration with DG REGIO, has officially launched the I3 Support Facility (I3SF), focusing on fostering cohesion and integrating less-developed EU regions into European value chains. A key component of the I3SF is the Policy Lab, which includes the I3 Discussion Groups. These groups will address important topics such as regional innovation ecosystems, investment readiness, and regulatory frameworks. They will serve as a platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices among a variety of stakeholders, including policymakers, businesses, and researchers. A strong focus is placed on engaging experts from less-developed regions. The groups will focus on identifying practical solutions to challenges faced by less-developed regions and improving their integration into European value chains.
Applications for participation in the discussion groups are now open, and the selection procedure will prioritize applicants based on their relevant expertise.
