Celebrating Neighbours' Day: let’s #GetToKnowInterreg better!

For the Interreg community, every day is Neighbours' Day! For 33 years, Interreg has been at the forefront of promoting cross-border cooperation, with a tangible impact on our daily lives. By breaking down barriers and facilitating cooperation, Interreg has truly transformed the way we interact with our neighbouring regions.

Since 1990, Interreg has supported more than 100 programmes aimed at promoting cross-border, transnational and interregional cooperation. These programmes have run thousands of projects in areas as diverse as education, environment, research and cultural exchanges. Whether improving infrastructure, promoting sustainable development, enhancing cultural understanding or boosting skills and economic growth, these projects have benefited millions of citizens across Europe.

Interreg's commitment to cooperation knows no bounds as it continues to create opportunities for regions to come together, share expertise and tackle common challenges.
