Three proposals have been selected to test innovative citizens participatory process in Brussels Region, Catalonia and Lazio. The call for expression of interest remains open in order to provide technical support to further proposals.

Following the launch of the call for expression of interest “Innovative Implementation of the Partnership Principle in EU Cohesion Policy” three proposals have been selected. These proposals involve the following partners and initiatives:
- The Brussels Capital Region in cooperation with Metrolab.brussels will test a representative deliberative process and citizens science;
- The Government of Catalonia in cooperation with Col.legi will examine participatory budget and new methods to improve civil society knowledge and skills for a more informed and contextualized way of participation
- The Managing Authority of the operational programme Lazio and ANCI Lazio will experiment with civic monitoring.
The call for expression of interest to participate in a pilot action on “Innovative implementation of the partnership principle in EU cohesion policy (phase 2)” has been reopened today
DG REGIO will assess expressions of interest on a continuous basis until a total of 10 pilot actions under phased 2 is selected.
