The C4T Working Groups met on 7 May with experts from 11 countries to develop actions for accelerating sustainability investments. They will prioritise and refine these actions in June, with results to be shared at the C4T Conference later that month.
C4T Working Groups kick off collaboration on sustainability actions
- 23 May 2025

The C4T Working Groups on Energy, Environment and Climate convened on 7 May to begin co-creating targeted solutions for accelerating sustainability investments across the EU. Participants from 11 Member States – Belgium, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and Sweden – shared challenges and discussed how Cohesion Policy funds can drive change. The revised Working Group structure aims to foster networking, knowledge exchange and enhance joint actions among the members.
The breakout sessions focused on identifying feasible actions to address existing challenges in the implementation of cohesion investments in the areas of climate, environment and energy. In the final plenary, facilitators also highlighted potential horizontal actions cutting across thematic areas.
What’s next for the C4T Working Groups? In the coming weeks, members will take a survey to rank the prioritised actions. These ideas will be refined in June, with a focus on how they link to other parts of the C4T, like the Academic Sounding Board and C4T GROUNDWORK and how they can be put into practice.
The details of this workplan are expected to be presented in the upcoming C4T Conference in June.
