The monitoring Committee for the 2021-2027 ALCOTRA France-Italy programme values the involvement of young people in overseeing the programme and in developing cross-border cooperation between France and Italy. The ALCOTRA Youth Council was established in July 2022 as a consultative body for the monitoring Committee.

Why join the ALCOTRA Youth Council?
As an advisor, you will be able to progress your ideas and viewpoints on the social and environmental stakes within the ALCOTRA territory. Participation in the ALCOTRA Youth Council is for a period of 1 year, renewable by one year.
The Council is made up of between 10 and 19 members with:
- A maximum of two young representatives for each district in the ALCOTRA territory: Haute-Savoie, Savoie, Hautes-Alpes, Alpes de Haute-Provence, Alpes-Maritimes, Cuneo Province, Imperia Province, City of Turin, the Val d’Aosta autonomous region.
- One member from outside the ALCOTRA territory.
The members of the ALCOTRA Youth Council will:
- Contribute towards the objectives of the 2021-2027 Interreg VI-A France-Italy ALCOTRA programme;
- Participate actively at each Monitoring Committee meeting and draft proposals for action;
- Follow the development of projects financed by the programme;
- Attribute the ‘ALCOTRA Youth’ label to projects financed by the programme and interview beneficiaries;
- Communicate new 2024 calls for projects: micro-projects and territorial projects;
- Develop and maintain contact with various bodies, programme authorities and project beneficiaries;
- Develop links with the SUERA Youth Council and every youth organization on the ALCOTRA territory;
- Participate in communication events throughout the ALCOTRA territory and organize publicity activities approved by the Managing Authority.
You may apply if:
- you are aged between 18 and 30;
- you have a particular link to or are resident of the ALCOTRA territory;
- you are strongly motivated to participate in change on the ALCOTRA cross-border territory;
- you are willing to get involved in and committed to working on the Youth Council between July 2004 and July 2025;
- Knowledge to B2 level of both French and Italian are desirable, though not mandatory.
