- 22 July 2024

This project will provide doctors with the latest equipment and increase the number of hospital beds available to the community.
The project will improve the hospital’s services, patient care and working conditions for staff. This should reduce the time and cost of hospitalisation. Nearly 16 000 people a year are expected to use the new facilities.
The project complements several previous EU-funded projects implemented at the hospital including:
- modernising and equipping the emergency department
- acquiring new diagnostic, treatment, and imaging equipment
- Procuring equipment for outpatient clinics for use during epidemics
- adapting rooms
- installing thermal insulation of the buildings
