The Talent Booster Mechanism Working Groups (WGs), organised under Pillar 7, have published a catalogue featuring 31 good practices tackling regional and thematic talent challenges across Europe. This is the first step in a broader effort to support EU talent ecosystems.

The Talent Booster Mechanism WGs have officially launched their Catalogue of Good Practices Volume 1, a curated collection of 31 innovative initiatives and projects from across Europe that address key challenges in talent development and retention. This publication marks a significant milestone in the Group’s mission to support vibrant, inclusive, and resilient talent ecosystems throughout EU regions.
The catalogue is the result of the collaborative efforts by the four thematic WGs, each contributing practices aligned with their strategic focus:
- The Research & Innovation WG contributed with 9 practices centred on skills development, knowledge valorisation, and strengthening innovation ecosystems.
- The Digital WG selected 8 practices promoting digital skills, inclusion, and the digitalisation of public services.
- The Territorial WG highlighted 7 practices aimed at regional talent retention, entrepreneurship, and social inclusion.
- The Health WG presented 7 practices focused on upskilling the healthcare workforce, service innovation, and addressing challenges of an ageing population.
These practices were identified through active engagement of WG members with their network as well as consultations with external stakeholders, ensuring a broad and inclusive perspective.
While this Catalogue represents a preliminary output, it lays the groundwork for future editions.
The Catalogue is now available for download here and serves as a valuable resource for policymakers, practitioners, and regional stakeholders committed to making Europe a great place to live and work.
